Pregnancy Week by Week
Childbirth usually occurs about 38 weeks after conception, approximately 40 weeks from the last normal menstrual period. We therefore start our Pregnancy Week by Week section on the last day of your menstrual cycle.

Pregnancy Week by Week
Based on a regular 28-day period the normal term for delivery, the due date is generally 40 weeks.

First Trimester: Conception to 12 weeks
Second Trimester: Week 13 - Week 28
Third Trimester: Week 29 - Birth of Baby
